When To Get An Oil Change

Here at Tustin Ranch Tires, our customers always ask us when the right time to come in for an Oil Change. We wanted to share information with our neighbors about the proper at-home maintenance, and typically when you should change your oil.

Typically, most cars from 2000-Today need an oil change every 5000-6000 miles. But if you’re driving an older vehicle, more like 3,000 miles. With newer vehicles improved viscosity and engine warming, you don’t get the condensation and build up like you would with older vehicles, thus the difference in milage per oil change.

For those in the dark about the reason for oil changes.. Oil is used to lubricate the moving parts of the engine, AKA the pistons and bearings. And to keep your engine working the way it was designed, you change your oil.
